FAQ

Will the Sleigh come down my street?

As much as we’d love to bring the Sleigh down every street, Santa has large area to cover in just 10 nights.

Santa’s routes are all published in advance here – so please check to see where to find us!

Can we have a photo with Santa?

Santa loves having his photo taken, but please bear in mind that the Sleigh is a moving vehicle, and we ask parents to recognise this risk and exercise due caution.

We try to stop the Sleigh and let everyone have some time with Santa at regular points on every route – please wait until the Sleigh has come to a complete stop before approaching Santa for pics!

And if you’d like to see your photo on our Gallery page, please send it to us via our Facebook page.

What happens to the money I gave you?

Great question, because we love talking about this! All the money donated to Santa’s Sleigh goes towards local causes in and around the Darlington area.

In fact, you can take a look at some of the amazing causes you’ve helped support here.

Why doesn’t the Sleigh come to my area?

We make every effort to bring Santa’s Sleigh to as many people as possible, but the Sleigh is run entirely by volunteers from Darlington Round Table, who give up their evenings at a very busy time of year to bring a little Christmas magic to our town.

If you’ve missed us, you can always find us on High Row in Darlington Town Centre on the last Saturday before Christmas! Check our Routes page for the exact date.

Can we go on the Sleigh?

Sorry, no. Due to insurance and public safety, we can’t allow anyone but Santa onboard the Sleigh.

I’d love to help out – so how can I get involved?

That’s simple – join Darlington Round Table! We’re always on the lookout for new members. More information is available on the Join Us page.
