Charlie’s Story

Charlie was born with a complex cardiac condition, which required surgical intervention on a number of occasions.

Despite also experiencing speech and mobility difficulties, Charlie found great pleasure playing games and learning things on his little tablet.

Darlington Round Table spoke with Charlie’s mum, and agreed that upgrading Charlie to a laptop would bring him enjoyment and help further his education.

Charlie and his family were present with the laptop by Richard Warne, a former chairman of Darlington Round Table, alongside Jill Sidney, Pediatric Nurse at Darlington Memorial Hospital, and Rob Young, also of Round Table.
