Sofia’s Story

From the age of six weeks old, Sofia started having severe seizures, and spent the next six months of her life in hospital.

Her family discovered she had an extremely rare gene variant. There are less than ten children in the world with a similar variant, meaning her condition is too rare to have a name, and there is no research into it.

After discussing with her  Mum how Round Table could help, Darlington Round Table purchased specialist equipment called a P Pod Positioning Chair to provide Sofia with comfortable physical support.

We were delighted to hand over the chair to her Sofia and her Mum.
